Cedric Benson has decided to talk trash about the Bears once again, here’s what he had to say:
“I’m sure they know they made a mistake [releasing me], after the way I finished last season. But I’m not worried about them. It’s in the past and I’ve moved on. I had a career-high in touches and yards in a little more than half a season, more than I ever had in Chicago. That tells you the story right there.”
The other RB when Cedric Benson was here was Thomas Jones got into an on-field fight Monday in Jets’ camp.
Benson said this about his former teammate:
“Typical, that’s the kind of guy he is. I don’t pay attention to what is going on in his world.”
Benson also said this about the Bears:
“I think the only person that wanted me there was Lovie [Smith], the Bengals sure hit the jackpot.”
I love how Cedric is so cocky, his stats were about the same last year as his in the past with the Bears.
I doubt the Bears would want Cedric, because he would refuse to split time and he wants to be the feature back. Luckily the Bengals think he is a feature back.
I would much rather have Kevin Jones and Garrett Wolfe behind Matt Forte. Sorry Cedric, but we made the right move by releasing you. You were a cancer for our team for too long and probably one of the worst first round picks ever.
