The Bears have Jay Cutler as their franchise quarterback, but if he goes down with an injury they don’t have much experience behind him. Caleb Hanie, an undrafted free agent from Colorado State (2 year pro) and Brett Basanez an undrafted free agent from Northwesern (4 year pro) aren’t much help.
Bulger, 33, who was released by the Rams today, still has some years left in him. He sat behind the great Kurt Warner for many years in St. Louis and he could sit behind Jay Cutler here in Chicago. A veteran quarterback behind Jay Cutler would only help him. Plus Lovie Smith said he wanted a veteran behind Cutler.
Bulger knows Mike Martz’s offense, I mean played for him for many years. Bulger would be a great addition because of his knowledge in this league, his experience and his ability. He wouldn’t be a cheap option, but I’m sure he would gladly sign a three year deal worth about four or five million a season.
Come on Bears add Marc Bulger he can only help the situation. Jay Cutler is your franchise piece give him any help he can get.

[...] Marc Bulger would be a great backup and he would teach Jay Cutler and the rest of the young quarterbacks so much because of his experience with Mike Martz. [...]
