The NFL named DE Julius Peppers the NFC Defensive Player of the Month today.
Peppers had four sacks in November, tied for second-most in the NFL.
His 29 yards in sack losses led the NFC and tied for fourth in the NFL.
Peppers also had 13 tackles, deflected a pass that led to an interception and recorded two additional tackles for losses during the month.
Peppers was the biggest reason the Bears defense lead the NFL in fewest rushing yards allowed (65) and lowest opponents’ passer rating (69.5).
In other award news, QB Jay Cutler was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week after throwing four touchdown passes and posting a career-best 146.2 passer rating in last Sunday’s 31-26 victory over the Eagles.
It marks the third time that Cutler has won a conference player of the week honor.
