Devin Hester has been named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Month.

This is his third time in his career that he’s won the monthly award.

The last two awards for Hester came in December of 2006 and September of 2007.

He recorded eight punt returns for 130 yards (16.3 average) and a 69-yard touchdown in October. He had nine kickoff returns for 278 yards (30.9 average) with a 98-yard score.

He  has 17 return touchdowns (11 punt, five kickoff, one missed field goal) during his six-year career.

He trails only Deion Sanders (19) for most return touchdowns ever.

Maybe Hester will bring back his magic from the 2006 “MNF” thriller against the Arizona Cardinals. The Bears need all the help they can get against the “Dream Team” next Monday night in Philadelphia.
