Craig Steltz racked up a career high 10 tackles on Sunday, when he came into replace Major Wright.

Wright was lost for the day with a shoulder sprain and it seems like after almost two seasons, he is injury prone.

Steltz came in and did a solid job of replacing Wright.

He made a mistake before the half of not boxing out RB/WR Dexter McCluster on the Hail Mary pass.

It was a big mistake looking back on the game, but he did a solid job on defense the rest of the day.

One key tackle he made prevented a Dexter McCluster touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

Steltz is one of five safeties to start for the Bears this season.

He hasn’t started since Week 3, when he was beaten repeatedly by Packers tight end Jermichael Finley.

If Steltz starts alongside rookie FS Chris Conte on Sunday, that will mark the eighth different safety tandem in 12 games.

Major Wright looks to be doubtful for Sunday, so Steltz will likely start opposite Conte.

Brandon Meriweather and rookie Winston Venable will be the backups.
