The last time the Bears made a trade within the NFC North was in 1999. They traded a seventh-round pick to the Green Bay Packers for RB/KR Glyn Milburn.
The trade ultimately helped both teams greatly. The Packers selected WR Donald Driver with the seventh-round pick the Bears sent them.
Driver has become the Packers’ all-time leader in receiving yards and catches.
Milburn became the Bears’ all-time leader in kick return yards with 4,596 yards and was voted to the Pro Bowl that season.
It will be interesting to see if Devin Hester will be able to get anywhere close to that record.
Right now Hester has 2,724 kick return yards through six seasons in the NFL.
Who will make the next trade within the NFC North division?
It could take some time to find that out.
