For Chicago, it will be about how it bounces back from the Jay Cutler controversy in the playoffs.  While the quarterback was criticized mercilessly by fans and commentators, his teammates seemed to steadfastly defend him so it could be a non-issue.  Either way, a healthy Cutler is key to another successful season.

AccuScore projects the Bears to finish 3rd for now in the competitive NFC North with an average of 7.6 wins per simulation.  They are forecasted to make the playoffs 23 percent of the time while winning the division in 1 in 10 simulations.

Fans might forget, but it was actually Chicago that won the division a year ago with an 11-5 record and not the Packers.  For all his faults, Cutler is a talented quarterback and he has shown he can lead his team to wins.  It’s all about minimizing the bad with him.  The good news for Chicago fans is that tackle Greg Carimi was drafted from Wisconsin to help keep Cutler upright. The Bears allowed a league-high 56 sacks in 2010, which was 6 more than the next highest total.

Projected Record: 8 – 8
Projected Division Finish: 3rd
Probability of Winning Division: 10%
Probability of Making Playoffs: 23%
