Video Of The Day: 2011 NFC Championship Highlights

It may tough to watch considering the Bears were one game away from the Super Bowl, but hang in there and watch Caleb Hanie’s performance.

If any of you are afraid Hanie won’t be able to help the Bears get to the playoffs this season, you may just be nervous.Hanie shows why he is an NFL quarterback in perhaps the biggest game of his life.

The mistakes are going to happen. The guy didn’t take a snap with the first-team basically all season. Its too bad they wasted almost an entire quarter with Todd Collins under center.

Video Of The Day: Could This Be The Play Where Cutler Broke His Thumb?

Here’s a view of a video in the second quarter, where Jay Cutler seems to have some discomfort in his right hand.

You have a look. Cutler seems to be glancing at his thumb on his throwing hand after the play.

Thanks to @adamspeaks for posting the video.

What do you guys think?

Video Of The Day: Devin Hester’s 12th Punt Return TD and DJ Moore’s Fight With Matthew Stafford

Here’s a look at Devin Hester’s 12th punt return for a touchdown today against the Lions. He almost ran back a couple others, but after that the Lions kicked away from him.

Honestly I don’t understand why teams kick to Hester, especially the Lions who know how good he really is.

Take a look.

Here’s a look at the brawl that broke out between the Bears and Lions. It all started when Matthew Stafford ripped Bears cornerback D.J. Moore down by his helmet on an interception return by Bears cornerback Tim Jennings.

Moore was ejected and was pinned for a 15-yard personal foul penalty.

Did he deserve it? Or does Stafford deserve the penalty? You be the judge

Check back tomorrow to read the game recap.

Video Of The Day: Devin Hester’s Touchdowns Against Minnesota

On Sunday night, WR/KR Devin Hester played like the weapon the Bears imagined he would be when they moved him over to wide receiver a couple seasons ago.

Despite not finding his way in the endzone on offense this season, Hester had a good track record against the Minnesota Vikings.

Hester ran back a kickoff 98 yards and reeled in a 48-yard touchdown reception in the big NFC North win.

Hester now has five touchdown receptions and four return touchdowns (3 punt returns, 1 kick return) in 10 career games against the Vikings.

Here’s a look at Hester’s touchdowns.

Video Of The Day: Gap Breakdown On 88 Yard TD Run By Jahvid Best

Not a single Bears defender comes close to bringing Lions RB Jahvid Best down on this play. The linebackers, Lance Briggs and Brian Urlacher weren’t in their correct gaps.

It’s a rare mistake by the Bears, who are one of the most sound defenses year in and year out. This a play Bears players and fans never want to see.

Lets just hope they can try to fix these mistakes in practice this week because the season is unraveling quickly.

Video Of The Day: Hester’s Record Breaking Punt Return and D.J. Moore’s Pick Six

Here’s a look at two of the best plays from the Bears win over the Carolina Panthers today at Soldier Field.

Firstly, Devin Hester set up Matt Forte and the Bears offense with a 73 yard kick return. Then he proceeded to break Eric Metcalf’s punt return record of 10 touchdowns with a 69-yard punt return.

Enjoy.

Here’s a look at the top defense play of the day, D.J. Moore’s pick six. He benefits from playing on the same defense as playmakers Brian Urlacher and Lance Briggs.

Despite allowing Carolina to rack up over 500 yards of total offense, the Bears still won and the defense made the stops when they needed to.

Enjoy.

Video Of The Day: Dane Sanzenbacher’s First NFL TD and Matt Forte’s 47 Yard Scamper

WR Dane Sanzenbacher went undrafted this year, but the Bears saw enough in him to give him a shot. It sure paid off last Sunday, when Sanzenbacher scored his first career NFL touchdown early in the first quarter.

Despite it being the only touchdown produced by the Bears offense in the entire game, the receivers were limited due to injuries early in the game.

Sanzenbacher will likely get more chances, but the Bears need Earl Bennett and Roy Williams healthy very soon because the height isn’t their without them.

RB Matt Forte keeps carrying this team. He’s averaging 103 yards receiving and 58 yards rushing in the first two games of the season. The Bears know they need to establish the running game early and often, but Forte has been great on taking screen passes downfield.

Look for the Bears to find ways to utilize him more on Sunday.

Video Of The Day: Matt Forte’s 56 Yard TD and Devin Hester’s 53 Yard Reception In Week One Win

RB Matt Forte had an impressive day on Sunday. Let’s take a look at perhaps his best play, his 56 yard touchdown off a screen pass. It’s clearly time for the Bears to pay this man.

Another play that made Bears fans excited was Devin Hester’s 53 yard reception off of a screen pass as well. It seems like these screen passes are very effective for the Bears so far. Hopefully they find a way to utilize them all season long.

Hester missed the endzone by one yard, head coach Lovie Smith challenged the play, but luckily the Bears were able to score a touchdown one play after.
